The Friends of the Chartiers-Houston Community Library promote the use and appreciation of this community asset through advocacy, volunteer services, and fundraising. Please join us in our mission of supporting the library. Our activities fund the library's "wish list" - items that help to make your visits more pleasant and successful. In this time of budget cut backs, your support is needed more than ever before!

Help is needed, too, at our annual events:
- book sale (April)
- flea market (June)
- Pumpkin Festival (October)
The Friends of the Chartiers-Houston Library invite you to the next Friends Meeting. We meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm in the library. We'll be discussing upcoming events and future Friends' purhases, among other things. Join us there to learn what we're all about, and to see what you can do to help!
Join Us in Building the Collection!
There are several ways in which you can help build the library's collection of books.
- After you have finished with a book that you have purchased yourself - donate it! If the library doesn't already have it, it will promptly be added to the shelves.
- When you come in, bring your change with you! Penny the Pig is hungry for your spare change! She is emptied periodically, and her contents are used to purchase books on the library's wish list.
- Shop at Amazon! If you'd prefer to contribute from home, you can visit the library's wish list at Amazon.com. Don't forget...free shipping is often available for orders over $25.
